Galileo
From AusWiki
Galileo is Sydney's leading five-star hotel restaurant with a proud record of excellence since its opening. It has been consistently recognised for its fine food and excellent wine list.Galileo offers an exciting cuisine based upon a tradional French style with the delights of a tantalising Japanese influence set in an atmosphere reminiscent of London’s famous Venetian restaurant, Harry’s Bar.
Richly appointed with antiques, fine tapestries and polished walnut furniture, Galileo combines quiet elegance with the relaxed informality of a typical Sydney restaurant. Arno caricatures and skeches from early editions of Vogue Magazine, courtesy of the famous Harry's Bar, cover the Fortuny silk and cedar clad walls, providing a perfect backdrop for the 17th-century leather, Venetian dividing screen and the highly polished parquet floor. In the centre of the room, a magnificent antique crystal, six-arm chandelier crowns the mahogany pedestal table, while the colonial-style sash windows, framed by exquisite Fortuny silk curtains, afford charming views of the historic streetscape of Miller's Point.
